Choices is a free community service funded through community support. Any individual diagnosed with breast or gynaecological cancers and their families are welcome.
The aim of Choices is to provide physical and emotional recovery following diagnosis through information, friendship and support. The program is unique within Australia. Choices is your key to information, services and people who can:answer your questions provide practical assistance help you make decisions that are best suited to you provide you with emotional support meet other individual needs about having breast or gynaecological cancers
Call us Monday- Friday (07) 3232 7064 Who can access Choices?Individuals who have been diagnosed with breast cancer or gynaecological cancers can access Choices at any time during their diagnosis, treatment, and even years down the track. Choices also welcomes partners, family members, support persons of women with breast cancer to obtain information and support. Choices aims to provide a friendly and informal environment, where people can self-refer, or be referred by a friend or a health professional. A calendar of activities is available online or call us at the above free number. You can also drop-in any time within the above hours, to our Choices rooms in the grounds of the Wesley Hospital, 451 Coronation Drive, Auchenflower, Brisbane. Do you live outside of the Brisbane area? Choices is now providing some services on the Gold Coast, Caboolture, Roma and Murgon. Alternatively Choices aims to provide telephone support to women across the country should you wish to call us on the number listed above. |
