The Wesley Pain Management and Back Rehabilitation Programs are outpatient programs designed for patients with pain for which no further surgical or medical treatments are indicated, and the pain is limiting the ability to perform everyday tasks and lifestyle.

Our programs will be tailored to meet your individual needs to ensure optimum outcomes and future management.

The programs components

The focus of the programs is to help you develop self-management strategies through a tailored exercise program, including:

  • gym, hydrotherapy, walking floor exercises

  • education in understanding your diagnosis

  • instruction in correct posture for everyday tasks such as lifting, bending and sitting

  • adjustment to injury - to assist you in recognising how pain and stress can affect your life

  • management in your medication

Benefits of the programs

The benefits of The Wesley Pain Management and Back Rehabilitation Programs include:

  • enhanced recovery

  • improved physical functioning

  • increased self esteem and confidence

  • understanding your diagnosis

  • earlier return to work and normal activities of daily living

Which program?

The decision as to which program is more suitable may be evaluated when assessing issues such as duration of pain (although this does not necessarily indicate either program), attitude towards condition, medication intake, stress and anxiety, and mobility and fitness levels.

Duration of programs:

  • 10 days - Monday to Friday for 2 weeks - Back Rehabilitation

  • 10 days - Over 3 weeks - Pain Management

  • 7.30am - 3.30pm daily
